Alright, so this place is a bit of alright. The food is very expensive for breakfast, but it is pretty good. There is no other word for the waitress but ROUGH. I would say that this is a diner that is only hanging on because of how cheap they are, not because of the great service they provide. They use styrofoam cups and charge 25 cents for water. Nothing looks that clean and absolutely nobody uses gloves. The water is kept in a cooler by the cash register. The whole restaurant seems kind of dirty to me actually, especially the restroom area. It is just a small dirty room with a dirty looking toilet and garbage can. I went down there once (the steps are so steep you almost fall down them) and there was a toothbrush as if someone was living down there (possibility?) I must also add that I walked past the building the other night and saw a RAT making its way into the side of the building through a hole (not a good sign). I am most likely not going to eat there again because of the sight of that rat... but let's get on with the nommage!
Alright here's the menu. You have a choice of looking at the huge menu on the wall or taking a physical one at the table. The menu isn't bad, pretty much your average selection for a small diner. There is really only one waitress who works there ever with no help. So no matter how many tables are in there, there is just one lady working at all times (unless we only go during her shifts?)
I'd like to say that because we go here so much that we get something different every time, but honestly it's the same dish over and over and over again. So almost every single time, we have gotten the Early Bird Special. I have no idea why they call it that because you can get it all day long. The Early Bird Special consists of two eggs, two pieces of meat, homefries, and your choice of bread (or one pancake). At most places, this would be about 5-7 dollars tops. Here it is almost nine dollars. I just happen to like their homefries and the way they make their toast. You pay extra for the little things in life nom'sayin?
Besides the cheapness and minimal service, the food is great and tastes pretty homemade. The cooks are very nice. I have no complaints about the food so this is a good eats restaurant in my opinion.
